XMAS

This chrismas the police and military are expecting more trouble in the north. They've ordered security to be tightened, people's movement restricted and churches to be guarded

But such is the commitment to religion in a country with Africa's largest Christian population that millions of people will pack out thousands of churches in the coming days. It is impossible to protect everyone, security experts say.
Remain Cautious and report any anomaly to authorities....Merry Xmas

I hope to belong to that generation

BokoHaram! a deadly terrorist group in Nigeria that has shown how vulnerable Nigeria is in battling modern crimes and act of terrorism. A regrettable distraction to President Jonathan government.
With so many things to be done in our nation, this government is forced to tackle a problem it never prepared for. Two, three years ago, who would have believed terrorism will be at this peak in Nigeria?

With Corruption at its peak, terrorism against fellow countrymen will only state the obvious: As Nigerians, we identify our tribe before we identify our national hence a typical Nigerian will defend his/her tribe and blame other tribes for the shortcomings of our nation. A generation will come where Nigerians will identify with there national before there tribes or immediate community.I hope to belong to that generation!
Until then, we are all paying lip service to the dream of making our nation a better place.

How easy it is for us to blame our presidents, past and present for all our shortcomings, forgetting our problems is accumulated and can hardly be fully resolved by one single person.
Yes it can take a very good president to make a remarkable change but why will 160 million people put there hope in one man, that strategy have failed us repeatedly.

Leadership responsibilities of followers.
Yes!
Most of us have failed to be responsible followers, are we honest in our dealings with  one another? How much do you trust your fellow country man? How badly have you been treated by a fellow country man? How easy is it to downcast some tribes over the other?
As a nation do we trust one another? We all know the answers to this questions.

Our problems grow by the day and we are failing to collectively solve our problems, we move on with our daily lives and blame a president for failing us. If our president performs today and curb terrorism, what happens to power, bad infrastructure, declining education, water, child labour, and above all corruption.
You would agree with me its unlikely a tenure or even two tenures of civil rule will solve all of these.
It's terrorism today, it was kidnapping yesterday,  who knows what it will be tomorrow

We have to fast track development, its time to delegate to ourselves, watch the government closely, raise our voices and be heard, its time for us to be responsible in what ever we dealing with, permanent secretaries, director generals, council chairmen, security operatives, kings, civil servants, legislators, students, entrepreneurs, private employers and employees, teachers.
We can't afford to fail this country, we can be part of a generation that will rebuild our glory!
